About the team

The Minnesota Chill is a premier All-State travel lacrosse club dedicated to empowering players both on and off the field. As one of the few clubs in the region run by a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, they prioritize people over profits and are committed to being organized, transparent, affordable, diverse, and impactful.

Founded in 1997, the Minnesota Chill has a long-standing tradition of excellence in youth lacrosse. They offer a comprehensive program for athletes ranging from 10U to Graduating Seniors, providing high-level competition and training. The club’s mission extends beyond just developing lacrosse skills; they focus on fostering well-rounded athletes and creating transformative experiences that have lasting impacts.

The Minnesota Chill offers fall, winter, and summer seasons, allowing players the flexibility to participate in one or all seasons. They coordinate their schedules with high school teams and their box lacrosse club, the Northern Lights, to accommodate players’ various commitments. The club participates in prestigious tournaments across the country, including events in California and Arizona.

One of the unique aspects of the Minnesota Chill is their commitment to team travel, organized meals, and off-field activities. This approach helps players develop confidence and autonomy while reducing financial burdens for families. The club also provides extensive training opportunities, including positional training, team practices, and access to the Homegrown Academy for additional skill development.

The Minnesota Chill takes pride in their highly trained coaching staff who focus on the holistic growth of each player. Many of their athletes go on to play at the collegiate level, become empathetic lifelong learners, and give back to their communities and the sport they love. The club’s nonprofit status allows them to leverage sponsorships, donations, and bulk purchasing to keep costs as low as possible while maintaining high-quality programming and experiences for their players.
